Words and letters are universally understood symbols, ‘pencil’ is a noun. When you see the six letter you know what they mean. You have a visual memory, a kinaesthetic experience of holding one, you know what it sounds like and maybe have even chewed the end of one before… the six symbols ‘P E N C I L’ trigger these associations in your mind.

This process allows you to trigger a much longer affirmation e.g: “I’m happy and grateful to receive to return flights to India” into a single symbol.
